How to enrol

  • Send us an enquiry with the form below or by e-mail, telling us which course you want and when you would like to start. We will confirm the course dates, time slot and fee.
  • Have your health check done at a designated clinic (see Motor Vehicles Office).
  • Come to the school on the day before the course starts to pay the fee and hand in your documents. Office hours: Mon–Fri 06:10–20:30, Sat–Sun 09:00–16:00.
  • Start your course on the scheduled date.

Road-driving lessonsYour driving licence
  • Foreign nationals: a valid Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) and proof of permitted stay or residence of at least six months are required. The name on your ARC will appear on your licence.
  • Photos: colour, 1 inch (2.8 × 3.5 cm), glossy, plain background, taken within the last three months, head uncovered, ears and eyebrows visible, no composite images. They must not be the same photo as on your ARC / ID.
  • Health check: use the official driving-licence health-check form for your licence type; a general medical report is not accepted. Fee NT$250, paid at the clinic. Nearby locations: Taipei City Hospital Zhongxiao Branch, Nangang District Administration Center, Nangang Software Park Building H 2F, Keelung Motor Vehicles Office (agent counter), Keelung Xin Kunming Hospital.
  • The completed health-check form must be handed in before the course starts; for the car course it is also needed to apply for your learner's permit.

Fees & payment

Course fees follow the tariff approved by the Highway Bureau and cover tuition, textbook, insurance, the learner's permit and test fees and the school's handling fee. Weekday and weekend classes and manual / automatic cars are priced differently — please ask for a current quote. Payment is made in cash at the school or by bank transfer:

  • Taiwan Cooperative Bank (合作金庫銀行), Yuanshan Branch — bank code 006 — account no. 0822717282086.
  • After transferring, please call or e-mail us with the last five digits of your account number so that we can match the payment.

Good to know

  • Please dress properly for lessons and tests — no slippers or sleeveless tops.
  • Test dates are fixed by the Motor Vehicles Office; tests cannot be moved to weekends or chosen freely. If you do not feel ready, you can postpone to the next test date after talking to your instructor.
  • If you fail one part of the test, the school provides re-training and arranges the re-test (a re-training fee applies).
